The first QLD Women’s Vets event was played in Townsville in conjunction with the Open Championships in 1985.

Four teams competed – Brisbane, Cairns, Mackay and Townsville When Townsville were advised they were hosting the championships in 1985, they put out an expression of interest of who would like to play. The team above is the result of that expression of interest.

QLD Women’s Masters have come a long way since 1985. The championships are held in Townsville in 2018 with 45 teams competing. Some of the ladies who competing in 1985 will hopefully be attending the finals and presentations this year.
