Rockhampton Hockey Association

According to our records Rockhampton first entered the Championship in 1987 and competed in Mackay.

The team consisted of the following players:

HQ Women’s Masters Championships were hosted by our Association in 1989, 1997 and 2011.

Rockhampton has struggled to maintain a spot in the top division over the years needing to win Div 2 four times and even coming from as far back as Div 3 in 2010 to eventually move up to the Div 1 position held today.

Since entering the then QLD Veteran’s State Championships in 1987, Rockhampton has competed in every Women’s Masters State Championships, apart from 2020, the Covid year.  A second team first entered in Bundaberg in 1994 and has continued to compete except in 2008.  A third team first appeared in Rockhampton in 1997 and on another three occasions however unfortunately numbers don’t support a regular third team.
